News & Tips
On 19th March 2020 the Sports Massage Association advised unequivocally, the immediate shut down of our massage practices due to COVID-19.
To continue the provision of massage services and indeed all therapies that involve touch and close proximity, would be against Government guidelines on social distancing at this time. I will resume services as soon as it is legally safe to do so.
In the meantime, I hope everyone is keeping fit and well? Stay safe at home and keep active! Try to stretch every day and go for a little walk, if it is safe and sensible to do so.
If you have a foam roller available, try to use it for self-massage on your legs, shoulders and back. Lay on the floor with the roller underneath whichever body part you are trying to massage. Use gravity and roll your body up and down.
For getting in between the shoulder blades, perhaps try laying on a tennis ball and rolling on it.
This also works if you want to get in to your glutes - standing, put the tennis ball between your glute and the wall and exert pressure. Try rolling around here too.
Massage your feet by rolling a ball or rolling pin underneath the arch of your foot, whilst sitting or standing.
